i just bought a 944. ex-racer. basically a spec car. i checked my coolant mixture the other day and found that it didn't even register on the gauge. so i took her down to my local oil change place for a second opinion. i wound up having them flush and fill the system. they put in their regular coolant, rated to -34. i read on another forum about some different coolants, some were pretty expensive. did i make a mistake
using the generic coolant?

 

I believe you need alum. safe coolant because the engine is build with alum. I don't think the regular coolant will work, suggest to check with your dealer. I once asked them, that is what they told me.
