Default fuel pump

you wrere right PorscheDoc. i pulled the gas tank and the pump wasn't under it. in your email you stated the service manual said it wasn't under the tank. where did it say it was? can obtain this manual thank you

its a 1974 914 1.8 motor fuel injection thanks

It should be in the trunk, but some models it was in the rear, which is where it was moved because the pumps have a tendancy to vapor lock in the front position.
