Default Getting PM's from members?

A lot of the boards are having a problem with people signing up to the forums, waiting a few weeks, then private messaging every member of the board with SPAM content (thus going unnoticed to the moderators). If you recieve ANY PM's or emails from members here, please let me know, so I can deal with them accordlingly. Thanks.

Your automatic software gets low points.

You answer "dud" rather than "dude."

Stupid programmers: if you wish to do the job right you must work harder to get people to read your ad link.

Well, they generally ban the Ip address which makes it harder for them to re-register under a different name. The real problem is folks who never get banned - who join, use the site for automatic advertising software. some of the posts on this site are from completely automatic software systems that crawl the net looking for forums and try to sign up automatically and insert advertisement links in posts. It is not terribly effective advertising but it is dirt cheap, so people do it.

If you are a new member and you post a very general 1st post with a link in your signature, I'll at best warn you and at worst ban you for your actions.
