Hi, im Cody, I'm 17,andi live in a town to small to be a town, i live in the village of middleville. its 30 minutes south of grand rapids, and to be specific, i live in yankee springs, right next to gun lake. myself and my step mother own a 1972 porsche 914 1.7 liter canadian car. and my father owns a 1972 porshce 911E with a fiberglass widebody from a 930, with the whaletail.its a 2.4 liter, it the car was toredown and rebuilt by a guy nam Jay kohler (if i remember correctly) so the car is far from stock, but its mildy modified. we actually own 2 audi's as well, and i m looking to buy a late 80's quattro coupe (a UR quattro prefferably). but i have had a bit of trouble with the 914, we let it sit for a little while due to financial troubles, and after 2 years it was time for me to put in my time and money. i was going to bring it on a tour of the mid-west some car shows with a co-worker/friend, who is a big VW guy. well, i baught a new battery, new tires and did some small things, but i went to start it and it will crank but wont start. it has new plugs, and they spart, and its getting air, but the oil bath air filter isnt on it right now, i dont know if there is a vacuum line that could be the culprat, but i think it may need new injecters. but they open, we hot wired the injectors, and they click like their opening. and i dont know what sufficient fuel pressure is for a car like the 914 1.7 liter, but it does puch fuel throught the fuel lines. but i think it could be an ECU, i pulled it out of the car, and i think im going to have it rebuilt. if anyone has any suggestions feel free to contact me.
