Default Hi everyone

My name is Throstur and living in Iceland. I´ve owned my carrera for almost a year now. It´s a 996 Carrera2 cab MY´01.

I´ve done a couple of mods so far, installed the GT3 kit, spacers(15 front, 18 rear) and xenon retrofit.
I´m planning to replace the suspension with euro spec ROW30, maybe GT3 suspension. Haven´t decided..

Here are some pics

Hi, welcome to the forum. What a great looking Porsche you have there & a well chosen location to take the photos! (They look very professional!)

Thank you They are taken on a Canon 350D (US name Rebel)

However my story as a Porsche owner is just over six months now. Since I got this it I´ve had
the chance to try some of the older versions, one 1977model, 1984, 1992 and of course mine.

I have to admit I liked the 1984(924) car the most of the bunch.

The problem is I simply do not like the US suspension setup of the 996, it just bounces [8D]
I also have a AC-schnitzer BMW Z4 3.0L and it has a very very stiff chassis and suspension, so
to make the carrera an acceptable car for my taste is that to change the suspension.

I'm based in the United Kingdom so I know about Cannon cameras. Why have you got a U.S. specification Porsche?

Because I imported it from the U.S. When I compared the import price from Europe and the US, it was really worth it.

Since then I´ve removed the US. spec items like the bumper covers and also installed a new instruments with kilometer readings.

The only remaining part is the suspension.

Welcome. Nothing wrong with a US-spec car, sometimes we know what we are doing over here.
