Hi - I have just joined and wondering if anybody can help.

I have a 1986 911 carrera (930) - it has been running fine until just recently.
It starts normally and runs fine until it reaches operating temperature then starts to misfire, loses power and soon after the engine cuts out.
It wont restart until the engine has cooled down then the same thing happens over again.
Does anyone know what could cause this - any advice would be gratefully received

My guess would be on the ignition CDI box.

Ive got the bentley porsche manual to help guide me - and a couple of friends who have a lot ofmechanical experience - hopefully between us we will get the problem resolved and will post the result as soon as its done though that may not be too soon !!

Great to find a forum that is so helpful with so much porsche info !!
