Default Im New and I have a Question.

Hello everyone,

My name is Gus, I'm new to this forum.
I was got to this page from Google, while looking for help on buying
a used 911 Porsche.

I'm into the old body 911 Porsche ever since I was a little kid. Dont know anything about the car, just that I love them. Even if it is just to look at.

My questions are:

Im interesting in buying this 1986 911 Carrera Convertible. The car is in good shape. Original paint and everything. It has 119,000 miles. The seller is giving it to me for $16,000.

-Is this a good price?
- Any problems for that particular model and year?
-Will it lose value or gain in 5 more years?

What should I know before buying?

Thanx...

If it runs and is in good condition this is an okay price.

It should not lose much value over time.

You should expect to spend money and have some frustrations keeping it maintained well. Its a complicated, old car, one that is rather expensive to have worked on

Yeah, maintenance is going to be the real important thing to remember. Just don't be surprised when you start throwing money at the car.
