After years of owning Porsches I ran into a problem when I had my 1999 911 C4 with 20,000 miles in for inspection. Virginia has a once a year inspection requirement. My backup lights would not come on when we shifted the car in reverse. At the same time the rearview mirrors don't tilt down like they normally do. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem and the remedy could be?
