I am really glad I found this site. I own a 97 Carrera S. I am having problems with my alarm. I've tried eveything. If someone knows about talarm problems andhas any ideas on how to fix it I would be very grateful your input.


The batery on my sensor died. I unlcocked the door with my key, put the key in the ignition the alarm went off and disabled the car.

Despite putting in a new battery, I still have to use my key to get in and the alarm still turns on when I start it.

The manual suggests I put the remote sensor close to the window and depress the unlocknutton on th sensor3 times w/n 10 seconds --It still doesn't start the car.

The Owners Manual references a 4 didgit code.tht is input through the ignition switch to eset the alarm I have a 4 didgit code for the factory radio when it is tampered with. Is that the same one?

Any ideas on how to fix alarm so I can turn onthe car and drive it?
