Hi i own a 1988 porsche 930 turbo Targa it was bought from a very wealthy family in UK and is now in Canada it is in very good shape and i was just wondering if this car was yours how much would you sell it for?

 

That is an incredibly vague question without seeing the car, knowing the history of the car, maintenance, etc, nor the mileage, etc. Typically an average 930 will bring mid 20k USD. Very nice, low mileage, examples can bring upwards of 40k.

I have a customer selling his 500hp 930 that we built the engine for recently, the car is beautiful with low miles, and he is looking for 40k. We have about 15k in the engine alone.

 

the car has 46 000 km it was owned by saudi royalty back in its day i thought the turbo targa was a rare car ive been looking around for others and i have found many turbos but no turbo targa's

 

Crap, I completely read right over the targa part. Let me see if I can dig up some values...

 

Stephen who owns Imagine Auto (and is the PCA turbo technical advisor), said 2 were made, but the value is about the same as a 930 cab.

 

so its rare but its still **** haha i dont really care much for it never drive it .. still runs very well but i just want to get my money out of it. and most of the time it gets more looks then my new viper but people in alberta never really see cars like that. so you say i could get around 40 thousand american out of it?

 

He said 2 in his email, but I think he meant 2k from what I can find....

 

Well i always knew the car was rare i just thought it would be worth more since there are very few of them.
