Default New car and a dream realized at last

Well, you always spend more than you intend.
Last night I traded my Aston Martin on a Ferrari F430, a 2009 although essentially new (only 488 miles)--the advantage being it is one of the last two dozen to be built with the manual 6-speed (2010s are available only with a PDK transmission). Red of course, with the factory Scuderia Ferrari shields on the front fenders, the Daytona seats, and every option I've ever heard about except cooled seats.

I will post pictures when I can, but it looks like any other red F430.

Impressions so far:
Engine note is not nearly as good as the Aston's: yes, it's a V8, but its a flat crank V8 so it sounds more like four Harleys than a what I'm used to . . .
Rides very nicely -- very smooth and comfortable (big surprise).
Feels like gobs of power: same displaqcement as the Aston but with 100 HP and 80 ft lbs more in a car weighing 490 lbs less.
Very cool: seeing the top of engine in the rear view mirror, quivering and shaking just a bit, while sitting at a traffic light (beats the hell out the "Shaker Hood" on a Mustang
Coolest thing: Boxed and sealed in the trunk was a photo album with date/time stamped photos of my car being built, taken at various stages during assembly from March 26 through April 16 of last year: empty frame, engine being mounted, body coming out of paint department, etc. Wiring and installing the interior, final car pulled to the front doors of the factory, etc.

Nonsense. I' love the car. Just not satisfied with my ability to take pictures. I attached the one picture that did come out: the the keys and the VIP photo book.

That was a spam post above, I will send it to the abyss soon.

Congrats on the car!
