A dozed off driver coming in the opposite direction hit my car head on on the front left quarter. Air bags deployed on both cars. The other driver was given tickets for not maintaining lane. His insurance company has accepted liability of the accident. My car was totaled and was settled by my insurance company. The personal injury claim is with the other driver's insurance company.

In terms of the injuries, I fractured my Fibula bone on the left leg. I was taken to ER and then the treatment continued with Orthopedic surgeon. It did not require surgery. I was given knee splints, crutches, and then later on was asked to undergo the physical therapy sessions at the Orthopedic Surgeon's hospital's Rehab Department.

How scary it is when drivers fall asleep on the road. Unfortunately, one of my friends was hit like that. He wanted to cross the road and jumped out from behind the parked cars. The driver did not slow down, because he was almost asleep. Awful. I hate all the irresponsible drivers that don’t think of the other people while they are driving. My mom always said that she doesn’t want me to drive her car because you never know who will be on the road with you.
