ex-Jim Barrington Gmund coupe--trying to find facts of it coming to America
I am writing an article about Gmunds but this one in particular. This was one of the earliest 356 cars, maybe 356/2 050, found in Sweden by a German who also found other old Porsches there which are of great value now. I am writing the early history of this car, but not concerned with its latest owners & history in the 21st century. I want to know what year it was bought out of Sweden (clue: in the late '89s) by a German living in Denmark and for approximately how much? I think the buyer was named Jim Barrington who cornered the market on Gmunds for a few years, I think he had at least five of them.
( chassis’ no 32, 41, 45, 50 and 57…and all at one time)
