How rare is a 1962 porsche 356?
I am restoring a Porsche 356 for a Guy and Its in pretty rough shape. It has been in a front end collision and now it is missing half of the front fenders and the whole area where the spare tire and battery goes. It was rusty before the wreck and someone got to it before me and basically ripped that stuff off when they were trying to pull the nose back out. I don't even have those pieces in my possession, I never saw them on the car. The car was also hit in the rear, damaging it pretty badly but it didn't get the engine compartment. The floor has small pieces of sheet metal welded in here DBScar-DI Diagnostic Connector and there poorly. Also someone smeared bondo 1/2 inch thick all over the print and back, even though half the front is missing. The engine and transmission are good. My question is should I tell this Guy that his car is more of a parts car or is this car rare enough where I should work with what I have. I am certain I can put this car back together it just doesn't seem like it is worth putting to much time and money into it. The car also will need all the breaks from the master cylinder to the shoes and most everything in the front end just because it is super loose. If anybody knows the availability and value of one of these cars please help
