Default 1971 911T slolam car with S engine

Hello everyone,

Just found this forum, and I have a question I hope some of you might have answers for.
I own a 1971 911T with an S engine that my ex purchased many, many years ago from a man who raced it in slolam races here in San Diego. The car has never been modified from its racing form, we just had fun with it as it was. It still has cored out mufflers!
I want to sell this car, but know so very little about what it's value may be because of it's modified, racing shape.
Any suggestions on where I would research to figure out an asking price on this car? It has always been garaged, body is in very good shape, no rust or dents, etc. In fact, since 2001 it has been stored. Hubby no longer had interest in it either.
My first plan is to have it towed to a mechanic and have new batteries put in, lines bled, tires, etc. What do you guys think I should do? I got the car in our divorce, it has been sitting in my garage, I will never drive it again. It needs a new and good home. How do I figure out an asking price, and also, what places does everyone recommend for advertising this car? Regular? Vintage? Racing?
I am not a car person, LOL!!
We never raced it, just used it to drive now and then. When this car was maintained and running, it was a rocket. Your head would slam back into the seat when you changed gears and hit the gas!
Thanks, appreciate any help. I live in San Diego, CA.

Barbara,
I would do a few things. First post a few pics and then someone can surely tell you more. Second get a hold of your local Porsche Club of America. They will be more than happy to help too. Third search ebay and cars.com for models that are close.

Good Luck!
