Default 1974 Porsche 911

Im thinking of buying a 1974 Porsche 911, its red and it just had its engine rebuilt 2,000 miles ago it needs some work so far i know that it needs new brakes and an alignment, and ball joints, im meeting the owner on friday to test drive the car, i want to know what kind of stuff i should look for in this car that might point to major probloms in the future.

Check the floor panels, specifically in the front trunk area. Best way to check this, though it sounds a bit crude, is to take a screwdriver and try to poke it hard through the floor pan from underneath. If there is rust, it will give way.....then walk away unless you want a major project. We just put front floor pans in a 76 a few months ago, and it was about a 2 week job to do it properly.
