Default 1995 993 Light on Dash Won't Go Off...

Just spent $1500 to replace cables and harness on my cabrio, top is running smooth, not blowing fuses anymore... Of course, when I got it back from my mechanic, he delivered it with a new problem: According to him, the micro switch that recognizes when the top is tightened shut, is not recognizing upon closing the top, and the light on the dash stays on while driving suggesting the top is not all the way closed, but of course it is closed all the way and tight. Any insight on this problem will be helpful. Thank You.

Thanks for your reply PorscheDoc. Microswitch sounds right. Can you offer any advice?

That is where I would start. If he was in the top, he should be able to go back in there and get it fixed up for you.

Thank Doc. I will most likely bring the car back in to him, but I was wondering if you had insight regarding the intricacy of accessing the switch and cost of replacing the part: What I am trying to avoid is the shop taking advantage of labor hours, being that I have no clue how difficult it will be to fix it. My hunch is that they milked the hours diring my cable replacement...Thank again
