Okay, so what is the deal on pricing on the water-cooled 911's?
I have attempted to do some research and cannot find out why the prices are soft on the water-cooled versions.
Looking to buy something for $35,000 +/-. Is there something I don't know?

there is nothing wrong with the 99/00 model year 911 car. it has depreciated enough to have a good performance car at a reasonable price. earlier 993 has more styling appear but the later year model 996 is more reliable. just find one and have it check out by the dealer. this model year should give years of enjoyment and fun to drive.

Because porsche produced the 996's in much greater numbers, they are a dime a dozen and that is why they can be had so cheap right now. I could say a lot about the engine internals as a result of higher production and cutting costs, but unless you are planning on pumping out some big horsepower in mods later on, there isn't much point of going into it. You can pick up a great car pretty cheap right now.
