Default '80 911sc buying tips and worth

Hey guys, I'm looking at purchasing a 1980 911sc targa project car. I was wondering what to look for? The car is essentially "complete" but everything is in boxes, the engine was taken apart for rebuild and never was completed, it has all pistons, 2 sets of the weber carbs, a brand new oil pump (which the owner says is very valuable) original foose wheels, The exterior has no major dents, it has been under a tarp for years and paint is either not there or faded, some surface rust on panels, but nothing severe. Interior is pretty much trashed. I am interested in buying it just to get the hang of porsches and maybe have a fun little car to drive around.

I'm wondering what an approximate worth as it sits is, as a rolling tube with all parts available. Also if worst comes to worst what is the market for some of the parts I will have from the purchase if I need to part it out (wheels, carbs, engine parts, body panels).

also, it needs a new windshield, are these readily available or is this going to pose a problem, what is the approx. price?

Thanks for the help, I will hopefully be a porsche owner shortly with a fun new project.
