Default 91 Targa Windshield Removal

Hi! I cut the weather strip on my 911 to remove the glass. I cut it all around and I can now see the edge of the glass all around.

I tried to pusch from the inside but no luck. I am afraid to crack the windshield. Is there glue on the windshield? How do I remove the rear view mirror?

Here is a picture:

They can be a real bugger to push out. Keep cutting the seal and eventually it will get to the point where it will push out. It helps to have a second person helping so you can push it out evenly. Just wait until you get to put it back in. Pulling it is the easy part.

The rear view mirror you will need be be very careful when removing it, it is glued on.

Hi, I've had several windsheilds replaced over the years and one time, they had the same problem. They took a 1500 watt hair dryer type of heat gun and went along the edges of the glass. This method really worked so you might consider trying it. Good Luck..
