Default 911 coupe or Caymen?

Hello all, I am in the market for a used 911. I have narrowed it down to either a 2001-2003 911 coupe or a 2005-2006 Caymen. The choice will depend on the asking price and options included. For those of you who have driven both, what are your opinions? I am kind of leaning toward the newer Caymenbecause I like the body style and it is a newer car. Any and all assistence is appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Bob.

Interesting situation as I find myself in same situation after visiting my local dealer this a.m. Drove a new 911 Carrera S and then a Caymen and am now fighting the bug to just go buy this weekend. Need to make a decision on new vs. used and decide if the extra cash for the Carrera S is worth my investment. Will be using which ever I buy as weekend tourer/toy so want to make the best decision. I found the 911 with more room for me, being a bit over normal size with middle age spread setting it. But the Caymen has sport seats vs. the normal in the 911 so a bit apple to orange to me.

I was absolutely impressed with the 911 and am leaning that direction for my use. Was particularly pleased with interior room in being able to lean seat further back to stretch out a bit.

if you liked the 911...but are considering the new caymen...you could find a SWEET used 911 (2004-2005) for the price of the new caymen. the used 911 will still be in great shape most likely and you will let the original owner take the depreciation hit instead of you (if you buy new).

I just picked up my 2007 911S. Like itbetter then Caymen S I traded in.
That is not a knock on the Caymen it is a great car, the 911 just suited me better.
I would go for a slightly used 911.
