'97 911 engine deck won't open

Default '97 911 engine deck won't open

Enginehatch won't open. The door lever is not stuck, it does pull out, but it will not click open the rear deck. Any suggestions?[&o]

Have someone pull up on the decklid as you pull the release. It just needs to be adjusted more than likely.
