Default 996 BB exhaust or Fabspeed???

I just bought a 996 2002 and in my search for the right exahust system, I am wondering any suggetions on the full header and exhaust system. Either BB or Fabspeed...BB claims 31 RWH?

Thanks,

Both are good systems, depends on what you like for sound, everyone is different. I just installed a fabspeed exhaust on a 996 C4 that i also supercharged, and the car sounds very throaty. I'm not sure what fabspeed claims for hp gains off the top of my head.

I love the Fabspeed exhausts, B+B is also great but my choice would be Fabspeed. Get some sound clips up or videos when you get it

Fabspeed sure is expensive. I kept the stock exhaust on my 996 - decided to keep one car fully stock.

I'd be more worried about fit than max HP increase. I've seen poor fitting headers for some cars that vibrate against frame and engine parts, etc.

But I had a full BB exhaust (long-tube stainless steel headers, cats, exhaust, tips, bought through Lingenfelter) on my '02 Corvette and it dyno-tested a little less than 1/2 of what they claimed as the "up to" HP increase figure. It was a good exhaust too: fit perfectly and sounded nice, and while the HP increase was not as much as claimed, the torque increase at low RPM was obvious and really great.
