996 C2 Downshifting

Default 996 C2 Downshifting
When I'm downshifting from 3rd to 2nd I get a grinding noise. I think the syncro gear is going bad. Any repair suggestions? What is involved in this repair?

I had the same problem with my 2003 C4S.
Carlson Porsche replaced the entire transmission under warranty.
I hope you have a different problem, or a warranty.

Yup, sounds like a bad syncro. Time for a rebuild.
