Default 996 TT Painted Lower Skirt Option Question

I have a 2001 996 TT that I am going to paint the front air damn and the lower side skirts. My question is, did the painted lower side skirt option on later 996 TT's also paint the lower side skirts behind the rear wheels as well? I want to basically follow the same look as the factory option.

I could swear I've seen cars with the lower side skirts, behind the rear wheels, black on some cars with the front air damn and side lower side skirts painted and others with the rear rockers painted as well. My problem is, I can't tell if this is a factory variation.

Thanks, Jon

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid but, what is a rocker? In the U.K. the rocker would be the tappets and valves. Do you mean the side-skirts, lower rear spoiler? (Lost in translation?)

yes, my error, these would be rocker panels in the US but, lower skirts in the UK (and probably rest of the world)

Right Jon, I've had a good look through my books, mag's etc & I'm sorry, I don't know. [:@] You would probably find out from Porsche themselves. Have you an official dealer close to you?

Thank you for taking a look. I couldn't find any clear difference in my books either. Good suggestion, I'll swing by the local dealer and see if they can help.

Just to close on this thread, I found that the skirts behind the rear wheels were left black by the factory for this option. I understand why, the TT cars I have seen with these painted out tend to look a bit fat in the rear. But some guys like that....
