? about delay start after entering vehicle?
I have a co-worker that bought a used porsche 911 recently.
He was asking me if I knew anything about a feature his car has that is annoying;
When he unlocks the car and enters it, sits in it, but delays starting it about ten minutes it will not start.
It will start if he uses his key fob to lock the car and then unlock the car. He only has one key fop and is worried if the battery ever goes bad in the key fob, he may not be able to start the car again.
Is this feature programable? What's it called?
I tried to "search" for this feature on this forum, but can't find anything about it. I don't even know what it's called.
Thanks,
Mike

What year is the car? I am assuming it is a 993 and has the drive block system. When you get in the car, you must hit the key fob button once for the car to start. If you don't start the car after a certain period of time, you will have to hit the key fob button again for the car to start.
