I have just bought a 2000 carrera automatic with tiptronic trans and i can't get it to spin the tires, even with psm off. Any suggestions?

I had a 2004 Carrera Tip and it would not spin the tires unless the road was sandy or wet. I really liked that: it just naturally got all the traction it needed. So, I doubt there is anything wrong with your car, it is just the way they are.

So on balance I agree with Porschedoc. If you want a wheelspinner, get a recent Camaro V8 - frankly, that is what they do best.
