Default which is better?

Looking at a 94' Porsche 911 turbo 3.6 and a 96' 911 turbo. Anyone know which is better in terms of reliability and performance? Also, does anyone know if there are any known problems associated with these 2 cars?

You didn't mention price. Sooooo, usually a later model is more reliable. Avoid first model years also. Good luck.

The 964/5 was a better platform than the 993, but there are some nice upgrades in the 993 line, including fuel injection and the big brakes. The 94 965 was the only year of the 3.6L single turbo, and they have really held their values well, and they will continue to do so. The 993TT's valves have stayed fairly consistent as well, as they are the last of the aircooled turbos. I don't think you can really go wrong with either, depending on what you are paying for them.
