Big Man wants to fit in a 996 ???
Hi
I really want to buy another 911/ I had an SC 2 about 10 years ago - it was about 10 years old at the time. I had to sell it, as being 6ft 6in tall (2 metres) I could hardly fit, and getting it into 5th gear jammed my knee to the steering wheel!!!
Are there any 'big men' out there who have a 911 and can give me a view as to whether they are any better now - could just go to a dealer but I don't want to look like and idiot.
I would preferably want a 996 - so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jon

RE: Big Man wants to fit in a 996 ???
I am new to the Forum, in fact, this is my first post/reply. I am 6'3" and have just purchased a 2004 C2 three weeks ago. My first P-car! What a rush! I don't have any head room or leg room issues. However, I did test drive an '05 997 (I know, that's reducdant... at least until the '06 models come out) and Porsche has added a "tilt" function to the telescoping steering wheel. That could help save your knees. Just a thought!

I actually, having some family members own both the 996 and 997, and I have riden in a 993, I have to say that in my opinion the tightest one of all is the 996....The 993 is a LITTLE more roomy than the 996 I dont know why...and the 997 is just a whole different story. Nice roomy interior. with more headroom and everything. just me 2 cents
