Default Carrera 997 engines --- breaking in??

Carrera 997 engines? Is there an engineer out there?

There is a question in the 911 area on breaking -in these engines. The hand-book suggestions differ beteen the UK (2000mi at 3000rpm!!) Canada at 3000km at 4250rpm max, plus light- throttle use (the normal things), and US at some other requiremnet the e-mail indicates.

Other fine engines like Acura, which has very high mileage records (e.g.200K for NSX), has much shorter distances and less rpm restrictions. Is it the use of synthetic from the beginning by Porsche?!

Help out there! KIWICannuck
