Default Cold stumble

I have a 2000 996 and when the engine is cold it stumbles a little, not long only till it gets some temp. Is this normal? Once it's a little warmer (about two bloks or less) it runs fine.

I have 1999 996 with the exact same issue. Almost wants to die for first 15 sec. then runs perfect.

I assumed it was because of 9 quarts of oil in bottom of pan trying to circulate, but I'm not a mechanic. Mine is my daily driver with about 80k on it, and it has always done this for as long as I've had the car. Hope this puts your mind at ease a little.

Yes it does... thanks for responding. :-) I love the car, once I get behind the wheel and on the road I never want to get out of it..... just too much fun todrive.

Hey Bob,

A little late, but hope you get this. My shop discovered a relay switch for the smog pump that was bad, and after replacing this my car no longer has the cold stumble problem. It runs perfect at startup. Sorry for the bad info.

Happy driving,
Kevin
