Default RE: Engine fires

Had a 74 2.7back fire out the CIS. Impact apparently blew off fuel line causing small fire. Fire fused the electrical wires from the ignition together allowing both thepump and starter to run with the ignition off. The pump fed the fire. Pulled battery cable to stop the pump and starter. Used all of fire extuguisher to put out fire. Fire reignited. Use second extinguisher to put out fire again. Fire reignited again. Now oil lines have burned through and oil has formed a burning pool underneath car. Case has started to burn as well so can not use water to put out. Shoveled loose sand to put out oil fire then
filled engine compartment with sand to put out fire since engine was gone anyway. All this took about 20 minutes on the side of a remote road with fields of dry grass all around me.
