Engine Lid Hatch 1989 - 911 Cabriolet
I recently replaced the engine lid on my 1989 911 Carrera cabriolet, the new lid came with the latch installed & I simply swapped one lid for the other and I was done!
Unfortunately, a week later, when I needed to get access to the engine, the latch release handle only partially open the lid (about 3/8"), but no more, I can open the lid!
I suspect that the pin on the new lid is slightly oversize causing the release blade to block the pin even when fully open.
How can I open the lid without damaging anything?
