Default Engine problems/differences between the 996's?

I plan on purcashing a 911 Coupe within the next week or so but I can't find any information about the differences between the 1999's to 2004's. I want to know the engine specifications, 0-60, quarter mile times and more importantly, the mechanical flaws. As of right now, I have my eye on a 2002 Gray 911 Coupe for $50,000 with only 10,000 miles. I am very serious about purchasing this car and any information would be greatly appreciated.

Also, do you guys know of any other Porsche message boards? I am knew to this European scene since I currently own a Honda.

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum.

What model 911s (996s) do you want to know about? Is it the Carrera 2, Carrea 4, GT3, Turbo, GT2, Targa, Carrera 4S, 911 Aniversary, Carrera 4S Cab, Turbo Cab or GT3 RS, as these models all have different 0-60 times etc?

Sorry I didn't specify. The base model Carrera is the one I am most interested in.
