Default Factory or After Market Cabriolet Top?

I have a 1985 911 Cabriolet and need to get the top replaced. I have gotten 2 quotes for the work. One is using a factory german made top and the price is in the range of $2500. I received another quote that would use an after market top from GAHH.com in California. This quote was in the range of $1200. My question is does anyone have any comments on whether or not it is worth it to go with the factory version, of if the after market products are of good quality?

What are the things to watch for in a 2003 911 4S with 32,000 miles? Any specific problem areas?
