Default Hood & Hatch Strut Install

Just bought an 1986 Porsche 911. The car is in excellent shape, however both my hood and hatch struts are not functioning - thus i'm using a wooden stick to prop up the hood and hatch. Do anyone have any experience removing and reinstalling new hood struts? I bought a porsche repair manual - but it doesn't outline the procedures. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks! Tyler

It's a very basic procedure. Look at the strut, and you should be able to figure it out. There isn't anything but removing the old ones and putting the new ones on.
