Default 1984 Strut "Service Bulletin" Mystery

Chatting with a former 944 enthusiast (who is a little too old to play with them anymore) says he remembered receiving a service bulletin regarding the struts about two years after he had purchased his new 1984 944. He couldn't remember exactly what the details were, but he thinks there was some type of service or part replacement at the mounts. Does anyone remember this ancient bulletin relating to the struts?

Some struts required an extra washer betwee the spring plate and the strut mount on the 88 and later cars. Cars with the additional washer can be recognized by a yellow dot on the upper strut mounting plate. Without the washer, there were reports of some light rattling noise in the strut housing
