Default How do you manually activate the spoiler on a 996?

Dumb question time: Isn't their a way to manually raise the spoiler on the 996 models? I've seen pictures taken like that, so it seems to be possible. I'd like to take a couple of pictures of my car (2003 C4 Cab) with the spoiler raised.

Thanks,

- RA

Only in the turbo models that I know of (or with a PST2/PIWIS).

I have a 1998 996 that has fitted ,as standard ( I assume), a rocker type switch that allows you to manually raise and lower the spoiler. My car is a RHD and the switch is located down beside my right shin mounted on the interior wall lining. It's a little hard to find sometimes but it is there.
Good luck.

Doc et all,

I am pretty sure all 996 models have a switch to control the spoiler manually. My 99 C2 Cabriloet has a rocker switch just to the left of the dead pedal (on the inside wall of the driver's side panel). If you look in the user's manual you will see it as well.

Just checked, and yep, the rocker switch is there alright.. Thanks guys!

P.S. I would have checked the owner's manual first, if I had one..

I have a 996 and there is a button on the center below the nav screen that lets you adjust it

I'm not sure what yoiu mean by manually, bu on my 996, there is a switch down near my left foot that operates the spoiler.
