Default I am purchasing my first Porsche 930....

I have a few questions regarding the Kjetronic CIS fuel system. What aremembers opinion on this system? So far what I read is that it is fairly simple, but kind of fussy to adjust, and doesn't respond well to cam changes. I am about to buy a 77 930 Turbo Carrera and just gathering as much info as I can on this particular model. Thanx, Jamie

The CIS system is a fine system, but like you said, is a bit crabby when compared to newer EFI's. It is a 30 year old system, so it will not start like your new honda. It will take 20-30 seconds to warm up before you pull away. You can swap cams and use the fuel head just fine. If you are too lean, I can modify the fuel head for more flow, this is one of our niches in the market. Make sure you CO is adjusted correctly, and the CIS system is a decent system. To convert the system to EFI, you are looking at about 15-16k.

That car looks great!I had a 87 930 red. I love how fat the back end is.
