Default Ignition Key

I just lost my keys for my 1999 911. I received an extra key when I bought the car (Used) but it doesn't start the car. The dash lights all come on but the engine doesnt turn over. This must be a key issue. Can anyone help?

Default RE: Ignition Key

There is an imobilizer in the key, and if it has not been programmed, then it will not start the car. You will have to take the key and the car to porsche to get it done (or a shop with a PSWIW)
