I purchased a 2001 911 Carrera convertible with 23000 miles, and I have been told the K&N Intake valce can add power and sounds great. I am wondering if there are any other side effects, and if its worth getting done or will it cause engine problems in the long run?

It is also really good at contaminating the MAF sensor which will run about $300 a pop every time it blows.
