Default Need Advice On Alternator Replacement

Wondering how difficult a job it is to replace the alternator on a '93 911? I'm used to the older American cars where the alternator is right there in front of your face and easy to deal with.

It isn't a bad job, maybe a couple of hours. You do have to pull the fan assembly out and work the alternator out from there, but isn't a major job by any means.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like I'm going to need to get that A/C belt out of the way in order to get the fan assembly off...correct?

Yes, you will need to remove the AC belt as well. Good time to replace all the drivebelts.
