Default New Pirelli P zero for 911

Hi folks,

I am looking to get a tire for my 99 911 C2. Other 3 tires are fine; just the 4th one needs to be replaced, i.e the rear one. They are all Pirelli P zero. I am looking for a place/shop to go where I can get the new tire and get it installed/alligned/balanced etc. in Northern California (San Jose) area. Can I go to any ole tire store like America's Tire or does it have to be Porsche dealership or Specialist? Please advise.

Thanks
-G

I always replace tires in pairs - both front or both back, and find it really makes a different on high performance cars.

Lee,

I usually replace them in pairs. But what happened was; and I had an accident few months ago and only 3 tires were damaged so those got replaced. I might have driven may be 2000 miles on them, so it may not be cost efficient to replace them in pairs. Just that the 4th tire is pretty worn out. But I just wanted to know if it's ok to go to any local tire store and get the tire replaced/balanced/alligned or if I should go to Porsche specialist / dealer.

Thanks,
-G

Yeah, I'd just replace the one if the others are almost new.

Thanks for all your help. I got the tire installed at America's Tire and they matched the price with www.tirerack.com.
