Default New Purchase!

Hey guy, First time post here... Im close to pulling the trigger on buying a 99-02 911. Just looking for some advice with this this particular year model! Hopefully Ill be buying one with around 25-40K Miles. Any cautions? Should I stay away from it all together? I have a buddy that works for the local dealership and he is saying to be cautious, it could come back to bite me! Lots of repairs and whatnot.

Any advice would be great!

Jeff - don't let your friend scare you. Do your research, have the car inspected, and make an informed choice. Porsche's are no more likely to have maintenance issues than any other vehicle (I would contend less likely even). The problem arises when something does go wrong a Porsche is must more expensive to fix. To me, that's the price you pay to drive an incredible machine.

I bough my '99 C2 Cab a year ago with 41K.. Found a car set up the way I wanted, did a PPI and researched a bit and haven't had a regret. As long as you handle preventative maintenance and are diligent to look out for potential warning signs (eg. leaking oil) you can save yourself from most major issues.

Good luck with your search. Maybe I will see you cruising the neighborhood...it appears we are from the same neck-of-the-woods in Anderson Twp.
