Default New to vintage 911s please help!

Hello,
I have always been a 928 guy, I currently have a 1984 guards red 928s. I am looking at trading it in for a 911, what should I look for? Also, I would like to keep it under 15k. What should I expect to pay for a late 70's sc. Thanks for your help

Default RE: New to vintage 911s please help!

I just paid 15,500 for an 84' Carrera Targa with 70,000 miles. Car is in perfect condition w/ performance mods. I would go with an 84' or newer; first year of the 3.2 which is a much better motor than 3.0, 2.7, etc. Hope that helps. Good luck!
