Doc is probably correct. The driver makes the biggest difference in any car. In my run group at the track is a 2007 Z06 Vette. It has 500 hp and a competent suspension, but I consistently run several seconds faster per lap in my 2004 C2. I'm not a great driver by any means,but the Z06 driver is even less great.
