Default please do not hassle

hello,
I want to become a part of this comunity. I want to trade my bmw z4 for a 997 Carrera S.
Please do not reply if I sound idiot to you but I really need to know the consumption and the capacity of the fuel tank. I hate going to a petrol station every day so if the autonomy is too small I will no longer be interested.

regards,
Mike

I have a 996 Carrera but the difference in fuel economy and tank size will be miniscule: I get about 300 miles per fillup, never letting it get below 1/4, and I drive around town mostly.

Just do it! I used to have an M roadster (last series model) and switched to a C4S cab. Never looked back. As for gas station trips, get used to it that's a fact of life with driving and if you have to fill up, then, you're doing a lot of driving.
Alternatively, you can get an S Class Mercedes and spend $100+ with every fill up and last a bit longer between fills.

Mike,
I'm really not trying to hassle you, but If the deciding factor in buying or not buying a Porscheis how often you have to go to a gas station, you're probably buying the wrong car.

Bob S, yes the autonomy is very important for me. IfI want to travel to the sea from my city,I live in Romania, I must travel 500km. 80 km from my house to the highway, and after I join the highway there is absolutely no gas station for the next 420km. What do you suggest?

carsnobI do own a BMW 7er. aprox 130eur fillup

Mike,

If my math is correct thats about 260 miles...Again, I'm pretty sure the 997 has a 16.9 gal. gas tank... So you would have to averageabout 15.5 miles a gallon....Itcould be done, all highway, driveconservatively and don't get stuck in traffic . How does the Z4 work for you?

Glad to see someone else considering moving from BMW to Porsche. Good stuff, and a logical next step.
