Default Power seat problem?

1996 993 with power seats - seat has power for up and down plus tilt but no up and back movement. I only get a "click" when I try to adjust the seat forward and backward. Still even more puzzling is the passenger seat is the same. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,

Default RE: Power seat problem?

Is the seat all the way back? On the 993's, if you put the seat all the way back, they would get stuck in that position. You would have to hit the seat button forward and back a bunch before it would let go and go forward. If they are in the middle of the range, and are getting some slight movement when you hit the switch, then i would pull the seat and look for obstructions. If there is no noise at all when you hit the switch, then you probably have a bad switch.
