Default Relocate AC Controls (2)

I have a 1999 Carrera Convertable and I want to have circuit city install a pioneer nav, dvd, sat, radio

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pione...oductDetail.do

and was wondering if there is enough give in the housing/wiring for the a/c controls to be moved below the factory cd/radio (replacing the 4 cd storage) inorder to make room for the pioneer.

If so I was going to take it to my mechanic and have them to move and make space for the unit instead of the circuit city installers.

Thanks

P.S. I know my mechanic can probably answer this but its 11:48am est and I wanted to post something on this cool forum

Yes, it isn't hard to do. There is an updated trim piece you will need for the AC unit if you mount it below. I did a writeup on this (only installed cup holders instead of a radio). Here is the link: http://www.turbo911.com/showthread.php?t=215
