Default RUF Announces their new eRUF Model A.

RUF has become well known around the world for their ultra high performance Porsches, and with companies scrambling to release alternative powered vehicles, aftermarket companies are joining the battle. Rumors surfaced a few months back about RUF offering an electric high performance Porsche, and those rumors were centered on the popular Cayman. However, with this week’s announcement from RUF had some vague yet exciting details about the new eRUF Model A, which is based on the Porsche 911.

The new eRUF Model A, which is still completely in its conceptual stages, has done away with the six cylinder gas engine in favor of a three-phase electric motor, which makes just 200 horsepower, but the 450 lb-ft of torque available throughout the entire powerband allows the eRUF to dash to 60 in under 7 seconds. This system utilizes a similar setup to that used on the hydroelectric power plants owned by Alois Ruf, which make over 35 million kilowatt hours to the German public per year. That amount of energy is enough to send the eRUF around the world 3500 times, so a smaller scale system has been used in the Model A.

Here are the published specs from RUF:

Thanks for the great information. I am currently in the market for an older 911 TT. Any suggestions on how to find a
qualified inspector for a car that I might be looking at in another state? What about if I am looking at purchasing a car
from a Porsche dealer? Any specific issues to be concerned about with the 911 TT?

Thanks!

Most cars come with some tax on, if this is the case, then you have no worries as the tax goes with the car, not the person. so it will not need taxing again until it runs out. if it is new it will have a years tax arranged by your dealer.

Boat building has been one of the earliest forms of engineering and hobby as well. Most hobbyists prefer to build themselves a boat rather than buy. Why? Above all other reasons, it is simply because they take glory in calling their craft their own. What about you? Why build your own boat?
